The Phase I ESA was completed at this property on November 28, 2016. This 0.89-acre property includes one parcel and is located at 501 East Lenoir Avenue. At the time of the inspection, the site was occupied by the Kinston Iron and Metal scrap yard which was primarily vacant; however, materials from the scrap yard were observed within the structure at the site. The site operated as the Palmer Junk Yard from as early as 1949 until 1999. Automotive repair activities also took place at the site from at least 1948 to 1958.
